Baxter Memorial Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) to the MCCA
Today, we were delighted to welcome the children from Baxter Memorial Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School to the MCCA Conference Centre for a special tour of our Connexional heritage.
For the first time, the young people from Baxter Memorial had the opportunity to explore the rich history of Methodism in the Caribbean and the Americas. They discovered the stories behind portraits of influential Methodist leaders, as well as the unique wooden displays and artefacts representing Districts and Circuits across our Connexion.
The children also enjoyed engaging with members of the MCCA staff and officers, asking thoughtful questions and learning more about the work of the Conference Office and its role in supporting the ministry and mission of the Church throughout the Caribbean and the Americas.
Through interactive activities and meaningful conversations, they were encouraged to see themselves as part of a living Methodist heritage one built on faith, service, unity, and a commitment to carrying the Gospel forward.
We are grateful to the Baxter Memorial Methodist Church VBS team for making this visit possible. We hope this first visit has inspired our young guests to learn more about their Methodist heritage and to recognise the important role they can play in shaping its future.
Our heritage. Our faith. Our future.
