About the MCCA
The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) is a Christ-centred, Spirit-led community of faith committed to the holistic transformation of people, systems, and societies.
Rooted in the love of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, the MCCA seeks to be a visible and sustainable Church faithfully responding to God’s call in a rapidly changing world. We believe in nurturing the whole person and working actively to bring healing, justice, and hope to communities near and far.
As a connexional body of believers, the MCCA is richly diverse linguistically, geographically, and culturally. United in faith, we proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, equip God’s people for witness and service, and engage in ministries that transform lives and communities.
Our mission extends across the Caribbean, the Americas, and beyond, as we work together to build a more just, compassionate, and Christ-like society, guided always by the love of Christ that compels us.
Our HISTORY
The founders of the Methodist movement were John and Charles Wesley. John Wesley (1703-91) and his brother Charles (1707-88) were part of a large family, and were born in Epworth, Lincolnshire
Our BELIEFS
The doctrinal standards of the MCCA are enshrined in our Constitution and Discipline.
Our SYMBOLS & STRUCTURES
The Conference badge was designed by the Rev. Dr. Claude L. Cadogan and has become the most recognizable symbol of the MCCA.
