President's Welcome Message

Team-Rev-Galbraith

Bishop, the Rev’d Everald L. Galbraith C.D., J.P.a

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, on behalf of the people called Methodists in the Americas, Caribbean, and Holland I welcome you to the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) Website.  After much thought, prayer, and effort the MCCA Website, mccaconference.org, has been launched as part of our unfinished task of spreading scriptural holiness and transforming our communities.

The Methodist Movement commenced in Antigua in 1760 and The Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas is now an autonomous entity in the Christian Church since 1967. One of the strengths of the MCCA is that this entity comprises eight Districts of different sizes, languages, currencies, strength, and resources yet we are one in eight and eight in one.

It is my distinct honour to invite you to explore these pages and share this space, information, and conversations with others. Not only will you learn the history of the MCCA, but you will also learn about the Districts, the names of ministers and where they are serving, about our role in Education through our Methodist schools and affiliated schools, the MCCA Unified Strategic Direction 2021-2026, MCCA Men, MCCA Women and MCCA Youth and young Adults, what we believe and much more. Reflections on biblical passages and themes, Christian Education, Mission and Evangelism, and Worship resources will be available on the site.

I sincerely hope that upon visiting this site you will be empowered, inspired, and encouraged to join the effort to spread God’s good news; agitate and work for the dismantling and destruction of the consequences of evil such as discrimination, marginalization, corruption, racism, xenophobia and violence. Join us in building a community that will promote peace, unity and God’s love for the world.

Indeed, this is another giant step in our unfinished task of making disciples of all who we encounter and teaching persons to obey everything God has commanded us Matt. 28:19-20.

So, welcome, and may God bless you and all who visit this website.
